MEET GABOR
Gabor Nemeth is a Peninsula High School graduate, University of Redlands alumnus, school volunteer, and local civic leader running for the Palos Verdes Library District Board.
Raised with a deep appreciation for education, discipline, and service, Gabor understands how strong local institutions shape young people and strengthen communities. As a student at Peninsula High, he participated in football and wrestling, experiences that taught him teamwork, perseverance, accountability, and the value of showing up for others.
Today, Gabor continues giving back to the community that helped shape him through school volunteer work and coaching. Whether working with students, supporting local civic organizations, or staying involved in the life of the Peninsula, Gabor believes public service begins at the community level.
The son of immigrant parents, Gabor was raised with a strong respect for hard work, opportunity, education, and civic responsibility. His family’s story reinforced his belief that institutions like schools, libraries, and community organizations play an essential role in helping people learn, grow, connect, and succeed.
Gabor is running for the Palos Verdes Library District Board to help keep PVLD strong, modern, transparent, and accountable for the next generation. He believes our libraries should remain trusted places for students to study, families to learn, seniors to connect, and residents of all ages to access information, technology, local history, and lifelong learning opportunities.
As a trustee, Gabor will bring homegrown leadership, a student-centered perspective, and a commitment to responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.

Three Libraries.
The Palos Verdes Library District serves the Peninsula through three treasured community libraries: Peninsula Center Library, Malaga Cove Library, and Miraleste Library.
One Peninsula.
These libraries are more than buildings. They are places where students study, families learn, seniors connect, residents access technology, and the community preserves its local history.

Shared Future.
Gabor believes the Library District should be a trusted public resource for every generation and a place where the Peninsula comes together to learn, grow, connect, and prepare for the future.
